Cleansing Carrot Detox Drink

Detox drink usually involves all the green ingredients like leaves, cucumber or apple. Here is a different variety of it where you have the green leaves alright, but also have a carrot in it to give it a twist. You need the following ingredients,

  • Spinach leaves
  • Half a cup of carrots and frozen mango
  • A small piece of ginger
  • Few mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
  • 1 cup each of unsweetened almond milk as well as coconut milk

Liver is the cleansing agent of the body. While cleaning the body, it can also get dirty and slimy. Here is a drink that can remove all the dirt and waste from the liver. Gather up your things. You will need,

  • 1 cup of green leaves of your choice (spinach, kale or dandelion)
  • 1 cup of red cabbage
  • 1 carrot
  • ½ a cup each of beets and apple
  • 1 lemon
  • 300 ml of water

Blend these ingredients thoroughly to make a smooth drink. The beets improve blood circulation while the green ingredients cleanse the liver. The apple is a good source of fiber to get the solid wastes out of the body.

Colorful Detox Salad

We should eat first with the eyes. A colorful palate is one of the best ways to make the food look tasty. Detox period is the best time to get those colorful food items into the plate and have a blast. The ingredients used here are low in carbohydrates and rich in nutrients and fiber. Use the only minimal amount of oil and keep the seasonings to salt, pepper, ginger, lemon, Apple Cider Vinegar, and honey only. Take out all the colored vegetables like,

  • Cauliflower

Mix a teaspoon of vinegar, olive oil, and lemon juice. Add some grated ginger, a dash of honey and some sea salt in a bowl and give it a mix. When you have the chopped veggies ready in the mixing bowl, add the vinegarette into it and mix well. Refrigerate it for an hour; you have your healthy detoxifying salad I ready for the lunch.

Vegan Soup For Dinner

You can have this vegan soup made with lentils, kale, and sweet potato. You will need, Kale, carrots, sweet potato, vegetable stock, onion, garlic, fresh herbs and 2 cups of lentils.

Cook the ingredients except for kale until the lentils are soft and mushy. Mix the kale before you take it from the heat. Cover it for 5 minutes. Mash the contents together, add salt as needed. Serve hot. You can refrigerate it for later if you want.

Apple-Cinnamon Dessert

If you are craving for some sweetness, have this apple cinnamon drink that not only detoxifies the body but adds some flavor as well.

  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 apple
  • Handful of parsley
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • Lemon juice as needed
  • Flax seeds 1 tablespoon
  • ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 cups of water

Blend the ingredients well to a smooth juice consistency. You can also add some honey if you want it sweeter. The cinnamon can add some sweetness to it but honey can mask the acidic taste of lemon very well. Use cold water for the mixing.

Some Tips To Follow While On Detox

Drinking tea and coffee during the detox period is not healthy. What you can do is to drink Green Tea as much as you want. You can mix the juice of half a lemon or brew some ginger in the water before you add Green tea bag. Mix in honey o you want, but it would be better if you do not.

Drink plenty of plain water, preferably warm, throughout the day. This helps the elimination of toxins. Completely avoid sugar and sugary items, processed food etc. Stick to the plan, yes, you should have one. Do not use any fried foods. You can bake or grill the food without much oil. Use only Extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil for the purpose.

Split the food into 4-5 small meals. This way you can supply steady load for the body and keep it working.
